Pickwell Manor and Covid 19

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Pickwell Manor and wanted to assure you that we are taking every measure to ensure that you have a happy and relaxing holiday, in spite of all the unprecedented changes we are all experiencing.

To clarify our position regarding current Coronavirus restrictions:

  • If there is a national lockdown and we are unable to provide you with the holiday you have paid for because we are closed, then we will refund or reschedule.

  • If there is a local lockdown to the region that you live in and you cannot come away, then we will offer to reschedule your holiday. In this event please give us as much notice as possible before you are due to arrive.

If you are unable to travel for any other reason, then our normal terms and conditions will apply, as shown on our web site.

We would ask all of our guests to abide by the government regulations regarding travel and the group of 6.

Keeping all of us safe

It’s been a worrying time for all of us. We hope this information we have prepared will answer any questions you may have relating to Covid-19.

If you do have any other questions then please do not hesitate to contact us at info@pickwellmanor.co.uk or phone Julia on 01271 890110

What you can expect from us

We have signed up to Sawdays Clean and Safe Charter, in line with the Government’s advice, which can be read here. We have also achieved the Visit England Certificate of Safety for Coronavirus. If you’re keen to understand the government’s own advice you can read that here.

We obviously clean thoroughly before your arrival, but we will also be disinfecting your accommodation, on top of the normal cleaning that we always do. To allow time for this extra cleaning, we will need to ask you to leave your treehouse by 9am on your day of departure, and check-in time is now a little later at 5pm.

We will also be providing laundry bags to use on the day of your departure. We wouldn’t normally ask you to strip your beds and put all your linen and towels in bags, but we hope you can appreciate that we aren’t living in normal times at the moment! So please strip your beds (leave the bedding protectors as our staff will change these for each guest). We’ll also provide hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes in the communal areas.

The laundry area, tennis and croquet equipment here at Pickwell will all be available on request. We’re afraid that the games room and Wendy house are currently closed due to Covid-19 restrictions, but we have new Pixie houses around the grounds to look for, and a small animals area instead.

What we expect from you

So we can keep everyone safe, please be aware of the following Covid-19 symptoms, and stay at home if you’re showing any of them:

  • High temperature

  • New, continuous cough

  • Loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

If in doubt, please seek professional advice before leaving home as - in the interests of the safety of all our guests - we do reserve the right of admission for guests showing these symptoms so that we can keep all our other guests safe.

If someone in your treehouse shows symptoms of Coronavirus whilst at Pickwell Manor, you will all need to go home straight away and self-isolate there. To keep everyone safe, we’ll need you to fill in a questionnaire when you arrive, confirming that no-one is suffering from Covid-19, or experiencing any symptoms. We will also need contact details for every adult staying with us, as part of the government’s Track and Trace initiative.

All of us are doing our best to respect one another’s personal space, and we’d be really grateful if you’d be aware of social distancing with our other guests when you’re out and about in the grounds.

Thank you so much for working with us to keep everyone safe, we really appreciate it.
